  1. Connecting to source is an acted of willed surrender. You have to desire the state but release the attachment to the conditions. Ego and the the accomplishment and comprehension mind-sets dominate common waking attention. An effort must be made to suspend theses common qualities.

Connecting to Source is an act of translation. Source is always present, like a radio signal, always whispering if you are tuned into it. In times of trouble the lower brain functions tend to kick in and survival at the gross and ego levels fill up consciousness. Masters and artists can be connected and act in the world, but even then, not at all moments.

  2. Let me wait for at least one more “competitor”.

I listened to a few clips. I think classical guitar sound is the most spiritual music… and maybe Handle's Messiah… or the 9th symphony, those pieces connect to Source. But in individual instruments you can't play the guitar. I played the violin for 5 years, the guitar before I got injured, for 7 years.

  3. Why yes, I'd love to win the contest . . . may I? : ) Thanks for visiting my site. I think it's time to update it with some new sound clips.

  4. Geoffrey, just want you to know that I visited your site. I used to be a classical guitar player, back when. I hurt my neck that's why I had to stop: my left hand is not as strong as it used to be.

Question: do you want to win this “contest?”

  5. It takes effort because countless ages ago a sort of contract was established between God and beings reaching a certain level of consciousness whereby we would earn our way into ever-expanding dimensions of light. So it takes volition on our part to want to be filled with God to larger and larger degrees and it takes effort because a basic principle active in the Universe is that there is no free lunch.

  6. I don't know why it takes effort to connect to Source other than perhaps the effort is a sign of our willingness to demonstrate that we are willing.

As to why Source isn't rescuing me when I am in trouble? Maybe it appears that way, but He actually Is but not necessarily in the way that I want.

Hopefully by being here, I'll learn more.

    Thank you Sophie.

  7. I really see 2 questions here:

    1. Why does connecting to Source take effort?

Because one has to be in the theta state.

    2. Or why isn't Source rescuing me when I am in trouble?

    Because Source isn't sentient.

  8. I think it has to do with waiting for a go between like a religion or spirit guide to lead us to where we need to go.

We have been taught that we can't get to the source on our own so we make it more difficult than it is.

As I have heard you say, once someone tells you that something is possible, it clears the path and makes things do able.

In general, it's our own beliefs that stop us.

  9. Is this a trick question? 🙂 it can be effortless. If you can allow yourself to get out of your own way. Ego can't connect to Source…right?
