I’ll teach this until I am satisfied that the method the way I teach it works…
We have had, over the years, results all over the board: some came away moved to tears, some came away and quit coaching… lol Why? The workshop brings up what you have been desperately trying to hide. I teach that in another course… what you are trying to hide.
I’ll do this course and refine it and tweak it and mold it, until it works for most participants.
When do you need this?
When stuff happens, you go to fear, anxiety, trepidation, anger, frustration… and you lose your power. This course is about how to pull back your powers with the correct use of the correct language… It is not affirmation, afformation, positive thinking, visualization, etc… those moves, in my experience, have no real effect, they only have, at best, pseudo effect.
Modes of language: The ABOUT mode
As you can guess, I talk to a lot of people any given week.
- Most people pay me because they want to talk ABOUT stuff. Explain to me what happened, why they did what they did, why they think what they think. They also ask questions about stuff… want explanation.
- Most of what they teach in school is ABOUT type of stuff. Most but not all.
You fill your head with the about-stuff, hoping that when you need the information it will be available to you. That you will have the right answer.
A brain that is trained to consume about-stuff will refuse to take in stuff that is NOT about-stuff, like algebra, grammar, geometry, physics…
Many things your mind refuses to take in because they are ‘JUST IN CASE’ type of stuff… and the mind can’t think of a situation when it may be needed… like algebra, history, and such, so it refuses to take it in.
When will I need that? says the mind…
A student of mine is taking a massage course, and she is complaining about having to learn the names of all the muscles… Her mind says: ‘I don’t need to know the name of the muscle to feel it, and massage it.‘ so she is having a lot of resistance.
And trained yourself to learn about-stuff, you come to my site, come to my workshops, and you read my articles, your come to my calls, and your head is in ABOUT-mode and you can’t switch.
You don’t even know you could. Hell, you don’t even know there are other modes. You are like a tape-recorder… never in active mode, always in passive mode, recording.
What can you and what can’t you accomplish in ABOUT mode of speaking and listening?
Reading and listening to my stuff won’t benefit you if you are reading/listening in ABOUT language mode. I don’t teach anything that you need to remember. So when I ask you a question on a call and you try to REMEMBER the answer, I know I have failed you.
My words, my speaking is active language. It is like a surgeon’s knife. You can’t store it, and you can’t retrieve it, you need to allow it to cut you.
Some people write in ABOUT language hiding the surgeon’s knife in the words… but their words don’t cut, unless you translate them to ACTIVE CUTTING language mode…
This is what happened to me last night, reading Victor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning… Supposedly 10 million people have read it. Result? Not much.
ABOUT language vs. ACTIVE CUTTING surgeon’s knife language… the difference is ACCESS to power
He talks ABOUT the fact that most prisoners in concentration camp lost meaning to their lives when they could not see a future for themselves. And then he talks ABOUT the few that created meaning and how.
What he doesn’t give to the reader, you, is ACCESS to create a meaning for YOUR life… Because the way he speaks, you are left with no meaning. Or you are left with your default meaning. Default meaning is worse than no meaning.
I had to read the few paragraphs in question a few times, and then translate them to my own ACTIVE CUTTING surgeon’s knife language, and then USE them to cut myself open. So that what he said some 50 years ago could make a difference for me today.
How I used this solution… today!
From time to time things happen that challenge you, that make the future grim, or fuzzy, or scary, and you become incoherent.
The brain misfires, you become dull and fuzzy… kind of dumb. Or get in a tizzy. Or into a hurry. All signs of incoherence.
It happened to me today when I checked my bank account and found that a large charge I didn’t make made my account overdrawn. I felt incoherence coming on, fear, trepidation, and the muscle tension that accompany it.
Stupidity. I called the bank and I sounded like a dork. I tried to fax a document without plugging in the fax machine… Total collapse of my cone of vision and my intelligence.
Then I sat down and did what I learned from the book (after I spent all that time translating it into action mode, ACTIVE language mode). THEN, because I returned to coherence, I completed the actions correctly, without further bumbling like an idiot.

To avoid surprises: the course teaches you to create context. The crucial element so your attitude will be empowered when you do anything.
Creating context is tricky. It is tricky to create, and it is even trickier to use it as your North Star. Your level of integrity needs to be above the minimum.
I am not looking for excuses, but if the method didn’t work then the secret is in people’s lack of integrity.
