What can YOU reasonably expect from any program?

The most popular page on this site, www.yourvibration.com, is my Mind Movies review page.

So I decided to add a few words to it… I added this today:

what results you can expect from a program?Bad news: no matter what program you buy, if you remain the same inside, small, arrogant, and fearful, no program will do anything for you… For most people there is a chasm, a big divide between what they want and what they do… And that big divide needs to be bridged by small purposeful actions. But the problem I see with any results based goal setting program: most people are incapable of designing the small actions, let alone doing them. So the success rate of a program like Mind Movies is way less than 1%…

I have found only my programs (Sophie) and Tai Lopez’ programs that attend to that gap, that big divide and the actions you need to take. So with that, read this review… just know: no matter how good it sounds, it’s almost guaranteed that unless you are already highly successful, it won’t do anything for you, anything lasting. And it will be just another program you paid for, and got nothing in return. Worse than that: you will get a significant lowering of your self-esteem.

As you can see, I have some really harsh reality to present to you. You won’t like it. You don’t like it. You want to prove me wrong. You say I am negative… and you’ll just be positive… But like any medicine, it works. If you are ready for it, it may be the single most important thing you can hear, so you can turn your life around.

By age seven years old, you are already set in your ways.

self-development-programsYou have already decided how you are going to live your life.

If you are curious, inquisitive, reading books, ponder things, invent stuff… you’ve decided that the way to live your life is being like you are.

If you are trying to please people, compare yourself with others, have a big talker covering up that you are a coward… well, then you have decided that this is the way to survive life.

So, wherever you are in your years, your new program, new idea, hits you wherever you are with what you have decided to do to make it in life.

skills-6You have a certain size of tool box. You have a certain type of attitude. you have a certain type of work ethic, ambition, purposefulness, a certain type of appreciation for things, people, and yourself.

soft-skillsAnd you can build on that. Most of it is unsuited to build anything on… but you try, and your foundation crumbles.

Life, your parents, your peers, your schooling don’t build sound foundations and a big tool box with a lot of tools.

Most people I meet, even college graduates, have mighty small foundation, and a tiny tool box.

personal-development

They know very little. They may know trivia, but they don’t have any real idea of real life, of principles… so they live a life of quiet desperation.

I had a rather big tool box when I examined myself back in November. I can make a living through 19 different professions and trades, I speak or can refresh five languages, and get better at another two.

I have played two musical instruments well.

I have lived in three countries.

I have two graduate degrees, and am one credit short of a third.

I have trained speakers, I have coached business, communication, relationships, spiritual growth…

Compared to now, I had a small tool box.

What grew my tool box? The 67 steps program.

Now, let’s look at you and that program.

I was already a high achiever with a big tool box when I started that program. I got a 100 new tools in the past eight months.

AAEAAQAAAAAAAAAZAAAAJDllOTlkMTdkLTY2YmUtNGQxZi1iZGE4LTBkNjUxNDZjOTFjMABut your results will be coming to what you have, who you are, what habits you have, what tools you have, what you bring to the party.

So…

You can easily double, triple what you got going for you during an eight months period, if you consider it a boot camp and meditation camp combined.

And if early on you decide on an organizing principle for your life.

The organizing principle is you: what turns you on, what drives and motivates you, what is the purpose that is larger than just what you want.

One of my students had a one-on-one with me, and realized this, for the first time… and without saying it, she must have resolved to be the kind of person who listens and cares about other people as well, not only herself.

From her course work I can tell that she is now able to build a life, and use the 67 step program’s steps to build a life that makes a difference for her and for the people around her.

So when you start a program like this, your first months, maybe even a year may be destroying the ways you invented yourself by age seven.

You can do it. The real question is: will you do it?

Or will the 67 step coaching program be just another flop for you?

abraham-maslow-quote-if-you-only-have-a-hammer-you-tend-to-see-every-problem-as-a-nailMost of you have magical thinking and ordinary actions. Ordinary, mundane, wasteful, spiteful, willful, lazy, unproductive actions.

Many of you have a good way with words, and hope that you can talk yourself out of the ditch you are in…
Some of you hope that if you can fool me then life will be better… how stupid is that?

tony-robbins-success-quote-bekerja-menurut-passionWho you invented yourself to be, by age seven, is like a thermostat… unless you set it higher or lower, but set it consciously, deliberately, it will always bring you back to the status quo.

386068_105358209617948_1771893819_nConsciously and deliberately. That will be the first for you… if you ever get there. Most don’t. And that is the sad truth.

In the next article you can read about the various skills you need for a good life.
