Therefore: Your conviction is not the same as your behavior

I bark therefore I amTherefore: Your conviction is not the same as your dominant behavior. So what am I pulling?

One of the biggest discoveries, for you and me, is the fact that you can’t produce a different life by changing a belief.

If it worked, and it doesn’t, then all the people who do affirmations, afformations, self-hypnosis, hypnosis, brain entrainment, EFT, would be the most successful people on Earth in the area that they are targeting.

They aren’t… and that is not surprising to me.

Can giving be evil?

desire to receive for the sake of sharingWhat is desire to receive for the self alone?

I have a client who is a do-gooder. Actually I have quite a few like him. He volunteers in a nursing home, pays for people’s attachment removal, giving is never far from his mind.

So when I told him that his dominant belief that he needs to be a giver, a do-gooder, and after I pulled this dominant belief he needs to start taking care of himself, and start growing.

Now, this flies in the face of what society tells you, what the church tells you.

Society is not interested in you, it actually prefers that you are anaemic, weak, tired, and stagnant. Society doesn’t like giants.

But LIFE does.

The distinction I borrowed from Kabbalah because it feels right is “desire to receive for the self alone”.

Now that your dominant belief is removed… Now what? What should you expect?

inconvenient-truthOK, let’s look first what you have been expecting? Ponder that a little bit, the article will be more valuable if you know what you have been expecting. OK?

Dominant beliefs? Will your thoughts change after I pull the twist that altered your dominant being?

trees, like society, leaning in one directionDominant thoughts? or Dominant being?

What you think has little to do with your actions.

The connection between speaking and action needs to be established, good example, when you read the instructions. It is not obvious how to do what the words say, and it is not obvious that understanding can lead you to that action. Seeing an action allows you to copy it: action to action: no translator is needed. But words to action… lots can be lost in the translation.

That is the biggest puzzlement of teachers… and very few are able to create a bridge between words and actions successfully.

So when teachers, wannabe teachers teach that you should change your thoughts, they are screwing with you. They cater to your mind, but only the mind will be happy if you follow the teaching. Not you. 1

How to BE be with anything – the secret path to happiness and power

big-boy-pantiesA few days ago I wrote an article revealing to you that adhering to a “no negativity” concept, you are actually strengthening the ranks of the Dark Side.

At least one reader got the point, and is now attempting to increase her capacity to stay present, to not run away, to not hide, when ugly shows up. And by ugly, I mean all kinds of uglies, selfish, evil, cruel, rude, angry, vicious, terrifying… you know which ones you run most from, don’t you?

I also published an article a week or two ago about being astute. Astute is the ability and practice to tell one thing from another, with precision. To define something accurately. To see things for what they are.

Now, not surprisingly, the two issues are really one issue.

When you turn away, when you run away, when you avoid…

You can’t get rid of pests… but you can manage them

What do I know about eliminating pests?

A few years ago, all of a sudden, there were tons of flies in my house. I am not sure how it happened, but it was a real pain.

Picking them off with a fly swatter, one by one, was “good fun” but not very effective.

I did a lot of reading, and found that

  1. you can’t eliminate flies
  2. you can manage flies

How you read is how you live… or are you doing the work that you love?

how you read is how you liveI love books that start slow, that allow me to be in the midst of things, give me insight into the character, the past of the character… simply said: that gives me a rounded picture without actually reducing the observations to assessment. The book allows me to make my own judgments, so it’s active reading: the story is co-created between the author and myself.

I even watch television that way… Netflix television, where I can stop the screen and reflect, sometimes for 10-15 minutes before I turn the movie or episode back on.

Now, contrast that with how you read.
