Guiding feelings. Are you guided to look away? Run?

Do you know the difference between a feeling and an emotion? You don’t? I hadn’t, until recently.

So I would have never thought of asking this question prior to reading Margoczi’s books, Feelings and Words a few years ago.

Before, I learned in Landmark Education that regret, remorse, resentment, the ‘infamous’ three R’s are useless, and harmful.

But today I dare to differ. Continue reading “Guiding feelings. Are you guided to look away? Run?”

Want to enslave a man? rob the man of his common sense

Brave New World... the ultimate destruction of manIf you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system. The feelings.

Train him to not trust his feelings.  To not even feel them. Or call them emotion names.

Train him that he can’t trust his feelings. Train him that all decisions should be made by men smarter than him. And by all means, train him that he can’t be trusted to made decisions about the education, the health about his children.

Train him by printing on plastic bags that they should not be put in the cradle… because a child may suffocate playing with it… Do this so the man will stop thinking for himself and start relying entirely on thing being given to him chewed and digested.

Give him the religion of positive thinking. Continue reading “Want to enslave a man? rob the man of his common sense”

Is the way you make your money a good match for you?

Is your life, the way you make your money, your living arrangement a good match for you?

I wrote this article seven months ago. Some of the emails I get tell me that people want to stay the same. That they want to do different without changing anything, changing themselves, or changing anything about themselves.

It is not going to work.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. but someone has to tell you. reading a book, even taking a course won’t change you. and therefore won’t change anything… unless…

At the end of this article I’ll share one thing that happened in the last day or two, that changed a long time student of mine, at least temporarily… read on… Continue reading “Is the way you make your money a good match for you?”

When it comes to words, slow is better…

There are very few emails I actually read unless they are from readers or clients.

I go by subject line… and today I opened an email that was talking about reading, saying that being a slow reader AND being a picky reader is a good thing.

I don’t like the dude who sent it. Why? I don’t think you have any control over who you like and who you don’t.

Just because you should like someone… please don’t try to like them. It is like trying to have a bowel movement when you have nothing to give… really. Continue reading “When it comes to words, slow is better…”

How would you know if you’ve EVER learned anything?

When I teach you, have you learned? How would I know?

Unless you do life the way I taught you to do it, you didn’t learn.

Unless you understand that the power of knowledge is in what it enables you to do… because only action matters. Only action will get you what you want.. Continue reading “How would you know if you’ve EVER learned anything?”

Reclaim your power? From what? From who? For what?

I keep on explaining people that the only way to get to a good result is through bad results, failures, but I don’t think I am heard.

It is true for everyone… it is definitely true for me… and I don’t have to like it.

Yesterday we worked on distinguishing misdirecting our power vs leaking our power.

Power is what you have to get things done, to accomplish things.

It is a finite amount, although you can grow it over time… but in any moment what you have available to you is finite. Continue reading “Reclaim your power? From what? From who? For what?”

What can you do with your negative thoughts?

What can you and what can’t you control yet you are trying to…

I am not sure where it came from. It is definitely not part of my heritage…

My hunch that it came from the Peeping Tom myth… also called Christianity. Are you hating me yet?

In that myth the guy in the sky doesn’t only judge your behavior, he also judges your thoughts. Continue reading “What can you do with your negative thoughts?”

Reality? collective hunch at best. Choose your delusion

Reality? collective hunch at best. Choose your delusions wisely.

What does this mean for you? That you, by necessity, live in an illusion, or delusion: you live in your own interpretation of what reality is… and your actions will be consistent with that delusional reality. Continue reading “Reality? collective hunch at best. Choose your delusion”

It’s not a rule of nature. It is YOUR rule. You made it up

You’ve heard it said that, ‘Every person is entitled to their own opinion, but not to their own facts.‘ Yet we routinely craft our own facts from the fabric of personal experiences, preferences and prejudices.

A stereotype is nothing more than a pattern we’ve observed.

This pattern isn’t always predictive, but it is a pattern nonetheless and we trust it. We do this in the misbegotten belief that we have correctly interpreted our past experiences and that our preferences and prejudices are, in fact, correct and reliable interpretations of objective reality. We’re a funny, funny species, aren’t we? (~Roy Williams) Continue reading “It’s not a rule of nature. It is YOUR rule. You made it up”

The fallacy of ‘the answer’, the fallacy of ‘the truth’

When you come from a fixed place, a fixed worldview, a fixed ‘IS’ then of course you are going to look for the answer… a fixed thing… that will match what your worldview is, completely.

But unfortunately to you there is no ‘the right answer’, the perfect match… because everything in reality depends on everything else.

It is a lot like a jigsaw puzzle where each puzzle piece is a jigsaw puzzle itself. Continue reading “The fallacy of ‘the answer’, the fallacy of ‘the truth’”
