The skill to identify and the skill to overcome your dominant way you avoid to grow

pikes_peak_from_garden_of_the_godsIt’s eerie how soul correction that is calculated from your date of birth and zodiac signs, calculated from just your birthday can be so very accurate in their core.

By core I mean your base nature. What you are inclined to do, the attitude you are inclined to have.

My horoscope for the next weeks or so… by Rob Brezsny:
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Pike’s Peak is a 14,115-foot mountain in Colorado. It’s not a simple task to trek to the top. Unless you’re well-trained, you might experience altitude sickness. Wicked thunderstorms are a regular occurrence during the summer. Snow falls year-round. But back in 1929, an adventurer named Bill Williams decided the task of hiking to the summit wasn’t tough enough. He sought a more demanding challenge. Wearing kneepads, he spent 21 days crawling along as he used his nose to push a peanut all the way up. I advise you to avoid making him your role model in the coming weeks, Virgo. Just climb the mountain. Don’t try to push a peanut up there with your nose, too.
As you know, or should know, I don’t teach anything I haven’t tested myself… and mostly on myself. Continue reading “The skill to identify and the skill to overcome your dominant way you avoid to grow”

Emotional Intelligence: learning what feelings are, what feelings do will help you live life as a human, instead of a puppet

Yesterday I was on the phone with a client.

Her soul correction is Fear/Fearless. In the conversation it was becoming obvious that she had read “Feelings” the book I have been so excited about. So the conversation was on a more even footing that most of my conversations: she has been paying attention and recognizing at least some of the dynamics the feelings have, and has been managing her fear quite well.

Buy the book “Feelings” Show proof of purchase for a pdf… you’ll need it. It’s hard to see the illustration on Kindle…

You have always wanted to get out of your head. You tried meditation, drugs, to no avail. Because the way out of the head is through the feelings… the body, where you feel the feelings. Your control center. Overriding the mind nearly 100% of the time.

Your eyes may be bigger than your stomach… Build on your strengths

Your eyes may be bigger than your stomach… Build on your strengths

One of the happiest turn in my life was when I fully turned away from architecture.

I started architecture school in 1966. I, unknowingly, chose that profession, because my mother wanted to be an architect, but could not, because of the Jewish Laws that came in in 1938, limiting the number of Jewish students at universities.

I didn’t know that I was an empath and I felt my mother’s feelings instead of my own… and she felt strong desire towards architecture. Continue reading “Your eyes may be bigger than your stomach… Build on your strengths”

How the about-me score effects your relationships, how you appear in the world, how successful you can be?

Everyone, always, wants to effect the results directly, but that is not the nature of reality. The result comes from many many factors, that together and individually can be effected… and the synergistic effect finally gets all the way to the end result.

In some contexts the end result is your vibration. In others your worldly results, like how much money you make.

Because most people have no idea how the world works, what is the nature of reality, they are highly ineffective in the world, and they are highly dupable.

If you cannot see cause and effect, the connection between things, you’ll do stupid things, put the cart in front of the horses, and spend time and money on ineffective practices, ineffective programs.

Religion is one of these ineffective practices, ineffective programs. Continue reading “How the about-me score effects your relationships, how you appear in the world, how successful you can be?”

You got stuck in the behavior of a 3-4-year old and it is biting you in the ass today

I am writing nowadays a lot about your mental slothfulness, about your lack of knowledge, lack of understanding, and poor absorption of what you are seeing.

In a coaching call yesterday my student started to bring some clarity for me.

He calls it “nodding” when he has no idea what he just heard, or what he just read.

That is the visible part of this huge iceberg… but what is in the immersed part? Continue reading “You got stuck in the behavior of a 3-4-year old and it is biting you in the ass today”

Removing the leaks created by your inner habits, your attitude, your “how”

The current humanity, homo sapiens, is ignorant to the 90% of reality, the invisible reality. They are like a bunch of Missourians, the show me state… 1 Building and changing the invisible habits

Most people judge by appearances, overt actions, your voice, your actions. But those cover only the top 10% of who you are.

The remaining 90% is invisible, sometimes even to yourself.

And as with everything in our 10% world, what defines how the 10% “manifests” is the 90%. 2 Continue reading “Removing the leaks created by your inner habits, your attitude, your “how””

Being judged

We are judged all the time. Justly, unjustly, the feeling of being judged is familiar to all of us… and some of us is bothered and paralyzed by it more than others.

What’s painful in being judged is that the judgment contains a kernel of truth (or more) and the other part is the judging themselves: in judging they place themselves above us… simply unbearable to the sensitive Precious “I”.

This story is about my very recent “bout” with being judged… and shows what is on the other side of judgment… how to free yourself from it so it doesn’t sting quite that much… maybe not even at all.

OK, here we go:

If you’ve known me for a while, you know that I don’t do housework, or really shamefully little. Continue reading “Being judged”

Awareness… When you are here… be here. But you aren’t…

If you found out in which quadrant you chose to live in, beauty, truth, goodness or power… and now try to argue, or you are worried, or you are resigned… consider that you are just doing what you are doing: you want to be where you are not… or more precisely: you never what to be where you are, you never what to think what you are thinking, you never want to feel what you are feeling.

So you do what you are doing, think what you are thinking, feel what you are feeling only so-so… A student of mine coined the phrase: in the neighborhood of truth.

If you can’t physically stop doing what you are doing, etc. then you withdraw into the cave of your mind, and languish there.

It is a safe prison… more like a tomb. You don’t have to be with yourself.

Why don’t you want to be with yourself? Because when you look into yourself, you find evil inclination, you find ugly, and ultimately you find empty. Not empty as in nothing, but an abyss. You get scared and you run back to your periphery, where it is so busy, you don’t have time to even contemplate that there is nothing inside… that there is no you.

One of the big interruptions, potentially, are the times when you get sick.

When you are sick, your job is to be sick. And be sick. Allow the body to do the work, it is equipped, 90% of the time, to do the work with proper nutrition, proper hydration and no medication, not even herbal. Continue reading “Awareness… When you are here… be here. But you aren’t…”

Make your plane go where you want it to go… or what one thing you want to learn from Babe Ruth

Make your plane go where you want it to go…

This is probably the most shocking sentence in the whole 67 step program.

I literally don’t know anyone who lives that way.

People try to succeed, try a diet, try this and try that… while their plane crashes in every area.

So what is the difference between who are like that, who are on their way to become that kind of person, and others who never ever land their plane on the landing strip? Continue reading “Make your plane go where you want it to go… or what one thing you want to learn from Babe Ruth”

Patterns… or Why do billionaires read books on physics, the ice ages, the shorelines of our planet?

There are many ways to deal with the Universe, with reality, and most of them are ineffective.

The more effectively you “deal” with reality, the more you get out of your life.

Billionaires Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger, Bill Gates, read books on physics, the ice ages, and the shorelines of our planet… and I see how it helps them in dealing with reality. this is what this article is about.

The Anna Karenina Principle applies here. That is what a principle is: it applies everywhere.

A principle is a pattern. Big pattern, small pattern, it IS a pattern.

1

“Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” By that, Tolstoy meant that for a marriage to be happy, it had to succeed in several key aspects. Failure on even one of these aspects, and the marriage is doomed . . . the Anna Karenina principle also applies to ecological risk assessments involving multiple stressors.

One of my students suggested that the linchpin capacity that humanity isn’t exercising is allowing. The 12-step programs say: Let go – Let god…

I have been pondering this ever since I got the email with the suggestion. At first I didn’t see the beauty of it, but it is growing on me.

Yeah, if you could let life be life, the Universe be the Universe, spring be spring, the weather be the weather, if you stopped fighting it, trying to fix it, tame it, control it, then you would be able to fall into a rhythm, a harmony, a flow.
