Why is winning harder than losing? Don’t say ‘of course!’

Why is winning harder that losing? And don’t say ‘of course!’

Even when I don’t think there is anything further to see… I find out: there is.

I have said before, but I don’t think anyone heard it.

The most EFFECTIVE way to deal with reality is dealing with things how they are and how they aren’t.

People, things, events.

Easier said than done. Continue reading “Why is winning harder than losing? Don’t say ‘of course!’”

You create your own personal reality. is that a good thing?

you create your own realityDoes it serve you to have a personal reality?

You may know that I have been talking  a lot about flexibility. And how important flexibility is. How essential flexibility is for you to be able to change your mind. To get out of the rut your mind has taken you and is keeping you in.

Without you knowing why you can’t grow. Why you can’t be happy. Why you don’t feel successful, productive. and why you don’t have ease and grace in life. Continue reading “You create your own personal reality. is that a good thing?”

How do you think of yourself less? your about-me score

How do you think of yourself less?

What does that mean? Thinking of others? By becoming a do-gooder?

OK, I am going to clarify something. Something that myself don’t quite know how it works, and why it works that way.

So it may come out incomprehensible, botched up, and useless. But, in my view, it is worth to try…

Note: if you only read one example, make it #5!

OK, the issue: one of the measurements is to what degree your life is about you and your life… the words I use I borrowed from someone else… True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less. and the words are ‘to what degree you think of yourself’… as a measure of humility i.e. how much room you have to learn and grow, how much room you have for the world, for work, for life… for others. What is faith, what is belief? Do you know what you know?

Assumptions, assuming… the not seeing beyond the cover

I have made a lot of mistakes in my life…

The biggest, I say, were the result of this cognitive bias we all have. Making assumptions based on insufficient data.

Assumption is jumping from seeing something and its meaning… without looking further, or looking again.

Given that astuteness is the exact opposite: making the correct interpretation of phenomena or data, assumption is the sign of stupidity.

And I have been guilty of that. Continue reading “What is faith, what is belief? Do you know what you know?”

What does it take to change your limiting core belief?

How the famous ‘probable future exercise’ can correct missteps, acting blindly without ever looking where the path leads?

In my experience, if you can allow your eyes to look into the future, you can see that unless you change something, you’ll get to a point where there is no more road… no more future for you… And that may allow you to take the plunge, and change your fundamental and limiting core belief about the world…

Because the issue is not always what you believe about yourself; the issue is what you believe to be true about reality. Continue reading “What does it take to change your limiting core belief?”

What do people love when they say they love you?

Everyone is worthy of love, except him who thinks that he is. Love is a sacrament that should be taken kneeling.

Why? because love, real love has nothing to do with worthiness. Or deserving.

You either love or you don’t love. Continue reading “What do people love when they say they love you?”

The physics of happiness… a happy life… The light bulb?!

The article about being nice, and smiling gurus brought me a lot of email responses… some disagreeing violently.

A few years ago I read a story about the Buddha…

In that story someone came to the bodhi tree where Buddha was teaching his disciples, and insulted the Buddha. His disciples were stunned to watch that the Buddha did not show any reaction. When the man left, his disciples told the Buddha how amazing it was that he didn’t get upset.

The Buddha (vibration around 400) said (this is the important thing, pay attention!): I got upset, I got angry, but I let it go so fast that you didn’t catch it.

Reading that changed my life. Dramatically.

What can make you, force you to come out of the cave?

It was 1979. I was 32 years old. The ambulance was using its blue lights and the siren to rush me to the hospital. Of course it was Sunday… no doctors…

X-ray… it wasn’t clear what was wrong. I was in and out of consciousness. Internal bleeding. Continue reading “What can make you, force you to come out of the cave?”

Are you stuck on the binary level of thinking? Let’s look

binary thinkingMost people, 99% of the time, are stuck on the systemic judgment level… where everything has an opposite, and it is either one or the other.

Binary thinking. What is Binary Thinking? Binary thinking, also known as dichotomous thinking, happens when even complex concepts, ideas, and problems are overly simplified into being one side or another. The gray area in the middle is ignored or goes unnoticed. Binary thinking helps us feel a sense of certainty.

Another way of looking: reality is 3d… Your thinking is binary… No match. No astuteness. No correct actions possible. Continue reading “Are you stuck on the binary level of thinking? Let’s look”

Still stuck at the bottom after so many years?

when you are stuckI have clients and students who have been in touch, buying stuff or courses since the beginning. That means about 10 years.

There is a certain kinship between us… they look out for me, they consider me, in addition to be their teacher, they consider me someone they want to be well, want to live long, want to succeed.

It is a very interesting experience for the teacher, because often the only thing that makes people listen is the authority the teacher has, by virtue of some achievement. So when they come to me with an idea to help me, I have to go through a process taming my ‘ego’ that wants to stay i the upper position. I ultimately manage to say: they are doing this because they love me… whether it is true or not, ego is willing to listen. Continue reading “Still stuck at the bottom after so many years?”
