In my weekly coaching call with my only business/marketing student last night, I went deep into the causes of why someone with a degree, why someone who is making a living, cannot move further up the life-satisfaction, life effectiveness scale.
I have found two blatant holes in him, that my guess is shared by all of you, or most of you.
1. a total blindness of what gives meaning and therefore the mood for life.
2. a total inability to see what is cause and what is effect.
So how do you fix that? You don't.
When you find something that isn't working or isn't working as well as you'd like it to, your knee jerk reaction is to fix it. Or change it. Or stop doing it.
But unless what you found is seed level, you can work till the cows come home, and you will only produce pretense, but not a change.
Yesterday I used the free community van to get to two stores I cannot get to easily on my own.
Note: in the illustrations I am not taking sides. I am illustrating that there is confusion and disagreement in what is race, what is racist, what is racism, and what it does is it makes people rigid, lie about what they think, and vote for Trump... ugh.
The driver of the van, PhD in sociology, asked if it bothered me if he continued to listen to NPR radio 1 . It was a public debate in Trump and if he was a racist.
This article is about personal evolution... going from where, how, who you are today to a higher level, a higher organization where you can be, have, do more. 1
It's November 10, and the ground is covered with snow where I live. My hands are cold, I am contemplating putting on my typing gloves: gloves that the tip of the finger is cut off so I can type.
I started to keep my house cold in the winter a few years ago, but went all hogs with it last winter: my thermostat is set to 47 degrees (9 degrees Celsius) day and night, and I have a heating pad under my desk and a heating pad on the wall about two meters from my right shoulder on the wall in my office. I also have a heating pad in the bathroom that I turn on when I plan to take a shower.
It's about our inability to tell what is the cause of something. Or even if there is a causal relationship between two things...
Between tithing and a sudden windfall... between lying and breaking your leg... between eating peanuts and feeling better/worse... Is there a cause and effect relationship there? If you pray: do people get better? If you spend time on a reiki person's table... do you feel better because someone paid attention to you, or was there even energy there? Questions, questions and no answers.
If it were just you and other consumers of information who don't know the answers, that would be fine with me, but with the proliferation of the internet, and with everyone and their brother writing, publishing, opinionating, sounding off, repeating things and their opposite, our sense of who to trust, what to believe is at an all-time low.
It used to be that we trusted doctors, and we died feeling that the doctor did their best... and their best was not a match to the task.
The first 42 letters of the Torah, (The Old Testament) are powerful tools for creation. Each line of the 7-line prayer consist of 6 letters, and each line has a different energy, removing time between cause and effect, infusing your being with the power of creation, purifying, removing ego, etc.
