According to some statistics, 30% of humanity lack meaning in their lives.
I think that this statistics is off by a lot.
There are people who don’t have meaning in their lives, but they don’t miss it, they live an animal existence and they don’t need, don’t want anything more.
There are people who don’t have meaning in their lives and therefore they don’t have any backbone, don’t have any organizing principle, and they don’t know what’s missing, they only know that they are miserable.
There are people who don’t have meaning in their lives, so they use some societal meaning, like money or a social cause to organize their lives, but while they are doing this their soul is starving, and they are finding out that neither money nor a social cause does it for them, however good or bad they are at money or about a social cause.
And then there are people who know their lives lack meaning, and they spend their time seeking meaning in religion, in science, in relationships, hoping that something will rub off on them.
Humans have a dual nature, a dual nature that is the enemy of growth, enemy of learning, enemy to the survival of the species…
Arrogance and pride…
Arrogance is duality itself.
It says, on one hand: I already know. I know. I am beyond that.
On the other hand: OMG, I am so stupid. I make so many mistakes. I better slow down, and not be so sure.
We call the arrogant side “it” in this article. And it talks. And it knows. And it pontificates…
What “it” says it knows? It knows everything. It knows if it is worth it to listen, if it is worth for you to do. It knows if you can. It knows the future, the past, what it all means, what it doesn’t mean, what it’s all about, what is important and what isn’t. Continue reading “Spiritual Arrogance”
I thought I would share something I haven’t talked about in a long while… And that is your memories. Your pain memories… specifically.
We all have it. And they are, for most people, packed away, in some fat, or some muscle, joint… like any other toxin.
Life is smart. You cannot be very effective with life, very present, if you have to deal with pain that can’t be resolved… emotional pain.
Many people go to classes to rid themselves of the pain, but these classes don’t work very well. Why? Because when you retell the story, you get caught in the story instead of feeling the pain. You feel the “marker feelings” the words awaken, but not the original pain. 1
The pain is NOT in the story… stories are words. But the pain is real, and the words, the story, push the pain further out of reach.
I saw something today I hadn’t seen before. But before I say what I saw, let me dispel some myth: there is no such thing as bad energy. Energy is energy. It is good if you use it for good. And bad if you use it for bad. I’ll write another article on this: but I have the urge to state it here and now: there is no such thing as bad energy.
All energy is good… and some meets you and triggers something bad… But it’s you… sorry. Oops.
Life is like being in a train: you can look out on the left side, the right side, the back, the front… but it won’t change that you are on a train that will arrive to its destination, no matter where you look.
Most of us live this way most of the time.
We do our jobs, we do our relationships, we do our projects, we do our lives this way.
Fulfilling? No. Enjoyable? It depends…
Ultimately we are plagued by a nagging sense that we are out of control, that no matter what we do won’t change anything. Some of us feel doomed. Some of us fight it tooth and nail… with bloody broken teeth and broken nails to prove it. I just made a discovery while I was pulling the attachments from a woman who had it really bad. (Her starting vibration was 70, and her ending vibration was 170. That is amazing. Just pulling attachments and cords).
