This article is about personal evolution... going from where, how, who you are today to a higher level, a higher organization where you can be, have, do more. 1
It's November 10, and the ground is covered with snow where I live. My hands are cold, I am contemplating putting on my typing gloves: gloves that the tip of the finger is cut off so I can type.
I started to keep my house cold in the winter a few years ago, but went all hogs with it last winter: my thermostat is set to 47 degrees (9 degrees Celsius) day and night, and I have a heating pad under my desk and a heating pad on the wall about two meters from my right shoulder on the wall in my office. I also have a heating pad in the bathroom that I turn on when I plan to take a shower.
I am republishing this article, because of the new insights... that everything that is not need based is the not-you, the society created "IT", the not self, and because it is very difficult to explain... I need these articles to be together... Eventually I'll find the right words that communicate to more people.
Needs are feelings. They run you, from the inside. Need is a feeling... and it can be on many levels.
Animals have needs. Human have the same needs, and more.
Depending on how many needs you have, you are on different evolutionary levels of humanity.
In this article we'll need with the two needs where most get stuck: the needs of the self. These are non-physical needs, resulting in non-physical pain if not met, and pleasure if they are met.
So let's begin.
I have always wondered why it is that only people who commit to something and then work on it are ever happy.
When a crocodile slams its jaws shut, the energy it summons is powerful. But when the beast opens its jaws, the force it exerts is weak.
That's because the muscles used to close the mouth are much more robust than the muscles used to open.
I'm wondering if an analogous story might be told about you these days. Are you more prone to close down than to open up?
Is it easier for you to resist, avoid, and say no than it is to be receptive, extend a welcome, and say yes?
If so, please consider cultivating a better balance. You need both capacities running at full strength in the coming days.
Humans shy away from commitments: Jaws open... allowing. Why?
Because commitment feels like bondage, like voluntary enslavement, like saying a lot of no's to a lot of nice things... the end of a life of liberty. Life opening up, and you need to stay open. Continue reading "Commitment… the c-word"
Summary: In this article I am attempting to make the impossible possible, the unlikely likely... making great white sharks from minnows... 1 to awaken the spirit dormant within you.
There is a "secret" formula, hiding in plain sight... But you can only see what your societally established filters allow through. Let us see, if I can break through, and show you the secret, so you can, finally, start accomplishing stuff... instead of being a permanent failure.
Warning: don't miss the footnotes: in this article they are especially important!
To get anything of value accomplished one needs
work and one needs
tools and skills. One also needs an environment (context) where
one's purpose makes sense, and seems possible, seems doable to the person intending the accomplishment.
it is supported by the environment (context) and doable.
And one needs other people that make it possible to do more than just take care of life, taking care of the basics of life, so one has time for an accomplishment, outside of the basics of life.
Life is really so incredible perfect when you are committed to something, and therefore you look at everything through that commitment.
Here is a quote I had attached to my kitchen cabinet for four years. When I moved it was impossible to save it: it crumbled... lol. It has an awful lot to do with who I am today, and the incredible results I was able to produce in those four years:
