Regardless, I am continuing on the theme, because this is one of the stumbling block for most of you... so although you don't know what is eating your lunch... although you have no idea how you are screwing up, I do, and I am here to help you till you get it. I already have a third article in the pipeline... ;-/
There are really two types of people when it comes to making more money: one group will chase the mirage, the lottery approach, winning, betting on schemes... and the other, the tiny group that sees that making more money is a natural fallout of becoming worth a damn. 1
I am interested in talking to the second group, the tiny group.
You see, knowing that you should become worth a damn is nice and dandy... but knowing with pinpoint accuracy where you aren't... what it is that you need to do next to increase your worth a damn factor is crucial.
In life, you have as much room to be as your environment grants you.
Room as in elbow room...
The environment you are in, at home, at work, at the pub, at the club, in the community van...
My brother has a lot of room to be when he is with his friends. He is funny, he is smart, maybe even glib... that is the only place anywhere he has some room to be. Maybe he had room to be at work... he is retired now. Everywhere else he is under the "thumb" of someone... under the tyranny of someone. He should be different, do different... never OK, never enough, never the one... except maybe his grandkids? still adoring him... for how long?
I left Hungary to have more room to be someone more than who I felt the environment allowed me there to be.
One of the sources of what to read is the book-list of people that are light years ahead of me, like Charlie Munger, the billionaire. I've read science books because of his book list. Other ideas come from my own articles: like reading Sarah Singer and Blair Singer, whose books and videos are setting my world on fire right now. 1
Believe it or not, I spend the bulk of my time studying, reading, watching videos, testing, and writing articles. About 3-4 hours a week on eating, preparing stuff, hygiene, and food shopping. etc. and the rest on business per se.
The biggest challenge I have is to remember to generate income.
It was about 10 years ago. I was getting somewhat better by drinking energized water. Not well, mind you, better. My skin was clearing up, and I had less occurrences of narcolepsy, where I would fall asleep in the middle of speaking, or driving.
I was way up in Colorado. It was a seminar by Marshall Thurber. I was already muscle testing my food... and most everything they had there tested "no" for me.
One of the "celebrity guests" at the seminar was Bill Harris. He is an excellent marketer, the marketer of Holosync. I was a diligent Holosync user... so I was excited seeing him there.
On the last day he and I started to talk (I think I was stalking him) and it came to the topic of water... I started to share about energized water.
He got really upset, and self-righteous, saying that it was bullshit, water is water is water.
I never used Holosync again. I use Bill's emails to see what I should avoid. Like Mary Morrissey, whose program he is pushing today.
I am lucky. Life always offers me plenty to write about. 1
People say I am prolific, and if you look at my results: I write a lot. But... but if you asked me what I want to be acknowledged for, I wouldn't say: for the number of articles. The number of articles only shows the tip of the iceberg.
I'd like to be acknowledged for my ability to see everything as part of the whole... and therefore relevant to us, to humanity in our quest to go to the next level of evolution.
If you poke into what it takes to be the way I view the world, you'll find that I have a really really wide cone of vision inside which I see thousands of things clearly and distinctly.
It's Tuesday and Rob Brezsny's syndicated horoscopes landed in my inbox.
I read mine, and my blood turned cold.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): In the coming weeks, you might want to read the last few pages of a book before you decide to actually dive in and devour the whole thing. I also suggest you take what I just said as a useful metaphor to apply in other areas. In general, it might be wise to surmise the probable outcomes of games, adventures, and experiments before you get totally involved. Try this fun exercise: Imagine you are a psychic prophet as you evaluate the long-range prospects of any influences that are vying to play a role in your future.
Fear. Fear that I am working on something that is going to turn out not what I want.
Very scary... in spite of the fact that I experiment all the time. That I rarely make a binding commitment to any path until it is already bringing its results.
I don't set goals... and don't commit to outcomes.
I know the word sharing gets thrown around in these emails quite a bit. Sometimes we become numb to the word. To get back to basics, sharing means giving something of ourselves.
It can be sharing with someone we're not used to sharing with. It can be opening up with someone we're not used to opening up to. It can be calling someone with whom we're holding a grudge and wishing them well and saying something nice, some words of wisdom. It can be anything. It just has to be an unconditional stretch.
As a certified est-hole and Landmark junkie, I have heard the urging "Share, share share."
In Landmark they mean "Bring more chumps like you so that Landmark can become a World Class Organization, here to stay." They mean: do our selling for us. No please, or anything... Maybe they don't, but that is how it lands for people.
