If you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system.
Train him to not trust his feelings. In anything. Train him that he can't trust his feelings. Train him that all decisions should be made by men smarter than him. Train him that he can't be trusted to made decisions about the education, the health about his children.
Train him by printing on plastic bags that they should not be put in the cradle... because a child may suffocate playing with it... Do this so the man will stop thinking for himself and start relying entirely on thing being given to him chewed and digested.
Today's "What's the truth about you?" workshop is the first experiment to get to beingness through feelings.
The challenge, for the participant, is to accurately feel their feelings, and maybe even what the feeling wants them to do, the inner dynamics.
My experience is that despite what everyone teaches, you cannot get to what you want through words. But you can get to what you want through the feelings level and the through feelings level to the beingness level: the creative plane.
..that is one of the disappointing things you learn when you do work with me. I won't feed you balooney like "you are a spiritual being having a human experience..." and other garden variety horse manure.
The other half-sentence is just as disappointing: "you can't get out of this life alive..."
These two half-sentences address 70% of the popular delusions of humanity.
When you internalize these truly, when you start to be energized by them then your vibration will jump 50 points or more.
I am reading a book, Peak: Secrets from the New Science of Expertise. I am reading it because I want to be able to teach my students better, so they can leave behind the level of ordinary school learning, the pedestrian learning that always produces pedestrian result.
I am reading Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene. The genes that use humans as vehicles, and are only interested in procreation, and not in the life experience of the vehicle.
But, as I have said before, there are 160 intangible capacities, mostly dormant, in the human DNA. The ones that we are going to look at in this article are the capacities (genes) of generosity (altruism) and trust.
Trust and generosity seem to be at odds with the selfishness of the genes... but they don't have to be.
The crucial decider... is that a word?, is whether the gene of envy is turned on, or not.
Envy is at odds with trust and generosity, because envy means: desire for the self alone... i.e. wanting the other to lose more than wanting to win. Considering the other losing as a win for you. Considering the other's misfortune, suffering, pain, as a win for you.
