The program that releases creativity is the Playground
How the notes you take, the stories you tell, put blinders on you and prevent you from growing… Continue reading “Been there done that! the fixed mindset and how it prevents you from changing yourself and your life…”
But why would you? Not everyone judge themselves. I, for example, don’t… or not often at all. I often assess myself, my behavior, my looks, my stuff… but assessment does not carry condemnation in it, and it doesn’t carry praise in it either.
What is the difference between judgment and assessment 1 ?
The main difference is fixed mindset.
In judgment, the judging person lives as if there were a fixed good or bad, smart or stupid, right or wrong. And then they act as if they were assigned the job of judging…
I have found that people with this combination are unable, unwilling, or resistant to do the work of the Playground. Continue reading “I don’t want to be judged! you cry. But YOU judge everything and everyone…”
Accurately assess… as opposed to have an opinion, have a good feel, or guess…
Is that a skill, a capacity, a virtue? What is it and how do you get it?
A have a new “most visited” post, the 31 quotes that give you chills… Why? Because it promises an experience… an experience you crave in the consistently dull and painful life you have.
Wanting to get chills without any other benefits says a lot about you and your life. What does it say? For one: you are a mystery to yourself…
I have said it before… humanity bars its way to evolution by throwing big words around. Continue reading “More on the 10 dark years theory… or why it takes so long to succeed”
…then your most important concern should be: how can I can more adaptable 1 … right?
In you our relationship to life so you can have more chance for a happy life.
Darwin said that the species that is the most adaptable to changes will survive.
One can also say that it is true not just for a species but also for individuals.
Adaptable doesn’t mean meek, doesn’t mean able to subsist in suboptimal circumstances, it actually means being able to thrive no matter what’s going on. Adapt and initiate. Continue reading “If adaptability is the most fundamental predictor of whether you thrive or survive…”
If appreciative is the opposite of entitled… does that mean that all those people who are not appreciative are entitled?
So how do you know that you are not appreciative? that you are entitled?
This is how:
- Even when you thank someone, they frown…
- You may even be diligent in thanking someone, you may even feel a stab of thankfulness, but those thanks are the waves on the waters, not the bottom of the sea… The bottom of your sea is entitlement.
What is an adult, what is a child… and does your ego-state (Child, Parent, Adult) influence how much money you have, how much love you have, how healthy you are? 1
In the starting point measurements I measure (#19) To what degree you have access to your adult capacities. 2 or asked in another way, how much does your adult run your life? The more adult the more results…
And how much is the child running your life, how much is it running your life to the ground?
I don’t know what that means… but I know that I talk to people a lot… in my head. I have long conversations with them.
So when I find out that they don’t know about it: I am surprised.
It is nearly impossible to have an authentic conversation with someone after I already had the same conversation WITH THEM in my head.
So many things never get said. Continue reading “I talk to people a lot… in my head. I have long conversations with them”
She was discussing her marketing to sell her almost a thousand dollar course on clearing negative energy.
I have to admit that I have never sold a course for that much money. Never even thought I could. Never even thought it would be fair…
I spent the day after that call not wanting to do anything. Not even walk… lol. That is so rare, it is worth mentioning.
I slept well, I am taping my mouth shut again and I sleep a lot better.
I woke up somewhat revitalized and invigorated… = revigorated.
What do I mean revigorated?
Your first sign of getting dead is having less or no question. Continue reading “What is the negative energy you are trying to eliminate? The energy that blocks you?”
… if you are willing to look and see what is so about you and your life.
The truth. Naked. Ugly. Often shameful.
Here is a correspondence I had with a client today:
She said: “I’m interested in changing my context since it’s part of what keeps me stuck.”
“… answering the questions: what am I doing? Why am I doing it?
Unless you have done the work of identifying what you have been doing, and why you have been doing it, no way you can shift the context. You cannot catch what you can’t see. And you cannot change what you can’t catch.” Continue reading “Everything you ever wanted is available to you, if…”
