It's really hot here. I don't use air conditioning, and I don't sweat. So I am really hot. And I am still digesting a lot of things... and it's not a good idea to write about half baked stuff... or not often.
I don't feel like writing. But I feel like telling you something, so I whipped out my headset and made an audio... a podcast if you will.
I learned this method from MY mentor, Robert Plank... you can talk a lot faster than you can write... and it gets you over the hump...
It was inspired by this article and this TED talk.
Why would you think that someone will judge you? Simple... you have already judged yourself.
But why would you? Not everyone judge themselves. I, for example, don't... or not often at all. I often assess myself, my behavior, my looks, my stuff... but assessment does not carry condemnation in it, and it doesn't carry praise in it either.
What is the difference between judgment and assessment 1 ?
Every generation is more entitled than the previous one. Why? Let me explain...
If appreciative is the opposite of entitled... does that mean that all those people who are not appreciative are entitled?
Entitled 1 is a worldview. It is a ground-of-being phenomenon, invisible, like the floor. An unexamined truth. To you. But for the other, it is quite obvious... 2
So how do you know that you are not appreciative? that you are entitled?
This is how:
Even when you thank someone, they frown...
You may even be diligent in thanking someone, you may even feel a stab of thankfulness, but those thanks are the waves on the waters, not the bottom of the sea... The bottom of your sea is entitlement.
What is an adult, what is a child... and does your ego-state (Child, Parent, Adult) influence how much money you have, how much love you have, how healthy you are? 1
In the starting point measurements I measure (#19) To what degree you have access to your adult capacities. 2 or asked in another way, how much does your adult run your life? The more adult the more results...
And how much is the child running your life, how much is it running your life to the ground?
