Who or what is in power in your life. You or something or someone else?

struggling to make ends meetMarch is a survival month. I have been observing it for 30 years. If a business can make it past March, then it will make it another year. This is due to people’s (the buyers who keep business in business) spending habits…

For people, the reason they don’t have money to spend in January, February and March, I think, begins by overspending in December. Then they scramble through January, February and March to make up for the Christmas indulgence.

Most people live hand to mouth, YOLO, Epicurian… Continue reading “Who or what is in power in your life. You or something or someone else?”

If you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system.

Brave New World... the ultimate destruction of manIf you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system.

Train him to not trust his feelings. In anything. Train him that he can’t trust his feelings. Train him that all decisions should be made by men smarter than him. Train him that he can’t be trusted to made decisions about the education, the health about his children.

Train him by printing on plastic bags that they should not be put in the cradle… because a child may suffocate playing with it… Do this so the man will stop thinking for himself and start relying entirely on thing being given to him chewed and digested.

Give him the religion of positive thinking. Continue reading “If you want to enslave a man, the best and fastest way to go about it is to rob the man of his common sense, his guidance system.”

Are You Stupid? Are you being stupid? Did you miss the point?

stupid

Summary: You may be stupid and don’t know it. The biggest breakthrough for a stupid person to declare that they are stupid. Why? Because it would force them to look before they act, talk, argue, say yes, or say no… Stupid is an attitude, not an ability…

So, what is the attitude of a stupid person? They think that they understand everything. They think that what they see is what’s there…

Koan: For you Everything is the same as everything else … except not always

This belief, that you know everything, is an entirely mind-based concept. It is based on something tricky: that your understanding of words, connections, contexts, is accurate.

You can be certain that those understandings are NOT correct. It is a childish and arrogant thing to think that your understanding is correct and that looking at other people’s teachings through your current understanding is going to give you an accurate view of what they are saying.

I’ll give you two examples, but before I do that, consider the saying:

hammer and nail world viewWhen you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail… we’ll get back to this later.

Who is Speaking? or how to find your own voice. Find your Self

dead-poets-society-quotes-15We all want to find out who we are, so we can be true to ourselves… but who we are is not who we are at all… it’s all the people that taught us, teachers, parents, Facebook, etc… But you can start distinguishing the “not you” and what you will be left with is the you that you have been looking for.

Most of us are like a Frankenstein monster, built from the ideas of people around us.

Everything that happens to us, every decision that we try to make happens against that backdrop, our false self, our fake self.

Everything that we ever said yes to, and everything that we ever resisted becomes this backdrop, like the truth. Is it any wonder that we find ourselves continents away from where we should be, both emotionally, and every one way.

We do what we do to defy or to make right the voices that shaped us into a Frankenstein monster.

Here is an excerpt from one of Osho’s talks. What he calls meditation, I call awakening. You are sleepwalking, in a daze, in a cloud of fog… It’s time to find yourself. By the way, that is what we do in my Soul Correction Workshop. Last week we set out to find our own feelings, next we’ll set out to find our own voice.

It may take weeks, and you can start any time. Read this Osho piece. You can go it alone, or you can go it supervised, and supported. Your choice.

Finding Your Own Voice

“If you choose according to your own inclination, according to your own intuition…[the inner voice] is very strong in children but, slowly slowly, becomes weaker. The voices of the parents and the teachers, the society and the priest, become louder and louder. Now if you want to find out what is your voice, you will have to pass through a crowd of noises.

Maybe you can’t lead people to Heaven unless you know the habits and the moves of Hell: the anatomy of Evil

Products of evil are evil products If you went back to yesterday’s post, you would find a horoscope by Rob Brezsny predicting that I will have whirlwind like experiences that will take me to what I need to learn, to the tools I need to successfully navigate my path.

I said that it looked exciting, like an adventure. It did.

Just like bungee jumping, roller coaster riding look like fun… Except there is a big difference between looking at it, and being on it.

I started on my journey to transform whatever I needed to transform, because my life felt like a roller coaster and I hated it. I hated the feeling of having no control, I hated being jerked to the left, only so that the next moment I can be jerked to the right. I am not built for this kind of excitement, I am not.
