A life worth living: What does poetry have to do with it?

love-truth-goodnessThe world is mundane. Ordinary. At least through ordinary eyes. It is just the way it is.

Some people see beauty, some people see truth, some people see goodness, but for the most part you see reasons to justify why you only trudge through life, never really seeing any poetry, any romance, anything really uplifting.

The Beyond, The Divine, The "Spirit" gets through to you through one of those, truth, beauty, goodness, and how you know it got to you because something echoes in your Soul.

You cry, you laugh, you shut up... words don't come close to express it.

When I work with people on their life's purpose, on the meaning of their lives, especially when I do it in a private call, I need to work a lot.

When I speak your purpose, as I see it, I hear you being hooked, being moved. Then you get off the call, and turn it into mundane... money, sex, or such other stuff, that makes life and you stuck in the mud. Continue reading "A life worth living: What does poetry have to do with it?"

Check in with yourself. If it is about winning… you have already lost.

life is about how you playLife is not about winning. Life is about how you play...

It is impossible to win. Life is not a winnable game. And wanting to win is setting you up for misery.

So what is this "wanting to win?"

It is an agenda. And like any agenda, it creates a narrow cone of vision, and a forceful ignorance of anything outside of that narrow cone.

This results in three things: Continue reading "Check in with yourself. If it is about winning… you have already lost."

Do you matter? Does your life matter? What is the most important skill to learn so your life will matter?

act as if your life matters so that it does

Mattering is a feeling. Nothing matters and everything matters. But if you don't feel you matter, if you don't feel your life matters, then you'll live consistent with that...

Some mornings it is hard to write an article.

Ultimately, when I examine the possible causes, I find that I am scattered. My attention flitters, and it is looking for more reasons to flitter (flitting from one thing to another. Move quickly in an apparently random or purposeless manner).

I am sure you recognize yourself. Continue reading "Do you matter? Does your life matter? What is the most important skill to learn so your life will matter?"

How Queen Elizabeth can teach you a lot about life, and how to live it successfully

There is an arc to this article... I arrive to the answer after a journey to it, in the second half...

What is the reason that some people learn and grow, while others stagnate?

I read an interesting sentence in an old marketing book:

"Generally we don't decide we want to get married and then pick the person who seems to be the most desperate to get married and propose to them."

In that document, TheMissingChapter, the author talks about selecting a business to pursue, but what he says applies to any aspect of life.

  • If you are desperate for money... banks won't loan you any.
  • If you are desperate for love... it will elude you.
  • If you are desperate for success... you'll make all the wrong decisions.

Desperation is a very poor advisor, it makes you incoherent.

The worst mistake a service provider can make is cater to desperate people.

What can geniuses teach you… no matter what is your IQ

I just finished reading an article online, a National Geographic article on genius.

Like Tai makes us look at billionaires to learn from, I am looking at genius to learn from how to teach you.

I've read the article. I found it occasionally irritating.

It's not a conscious irritation, like "nooo, you don't know! or Nooo, not true!" you often experience when you hear something or read something you don't like.

This was an irritation I just noticed... after I read the article.

So let me deal with this first, so I can get to what I want to say:

Researchers and their questions are pedestrian. Continue reading "What can geniuses teach you… no matter what is your IQ"

If you can understand it, it is probably not true, or it is not the whole truth

This is part 2 of the article "The crucial difference between people who are on the top and you"

I will start with a confession: this is new knowledge. I myself have been part of the "not on the top" people...

Let me explain what happened.

About a month ago I read an article that had a list of 20 books that Charlie Munger recommends.

I measured Charlie Munger's overall intelligence at 150. And decided that he probably knows something that I don't. Both Warren Buffet and Bill Gates say that he is the smartest person they know... so who am I to not want to learn from him.

But instead of learning from what he says (you'll see why later in this article), I decided to learn from where he learns from.

We have been doing the same in the 67 steps coaching...

So I promptly ordered four of the books on his book list, and started to read.

Clarity of speaking is a sign of clarity of thinking… What is your numbnut/moron score?

I am sure you think you are clear. But the number of words you use accurately in a language gives away your level of clarity... And it's low. I measure it as the 10th measurement in the Starting Point Measurements.

When I say clarity, I mean every area of life... including health as you'll see later in this article.

Now, why is this important? Because your clarity is what defines whether your actions, your reactions, your emotions are going to be in line with reality or not.
Whether you'll be astute, or a numbnut. 1

Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony

If you look, carefully, now you know why you are not happy.

Here is another quote: People get married because they want their lives witnessed. When your life is witnessed you feel alive... I was par phrasing the Susan Sarandon character's words in "Shall we Dance?"

The best way to make sure you are on the path to happiness... is actually to be in a coaching program.

In my 67 step coaching program I witness your life.

Obviously, if you don't care what I see: if you don't care that I see that there is no harmony in what you think, what you say and what you do, then it is not really doing much for you...

If you don't care... Continue reading "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony"

Feelings and emotions: what is the difference?

how to tell Chinese, Korean, and Japanese apart? One of the big obstacles that is in your way to growth is not being able to tell things apart, things that are different, but the difference is either subtle, or it is below the water level. Or is confusing because the names from the Tree of Knowledge use the same word for both

One of these is going to be important, so I'd like to encourage you to put some energy and effort into telling these two apart: 1

Feelings and emotions.

Why is this important? and why you want to learn what I say and not what others teach... 2  Continue reading "Feelings and emotions: what is the difference?"

Long winter may be the secret of high achievers

dante infernoThis article is about using guidance, but not for its truth value, but in spite of its truth value. 1

Tai's 67 steps program coupled with my coaching is the perfect growth program.

It's not because of me, it is not because of the steps either but because of its structural essence.
