Soul Correction #39: Diamond in The Rough

soul correction diamond in the roughA diamonds in the rough looks like a piece of rock. If you don’t expect it, you will treat it as a rock. Or a shard of glass

But if you are willing to go beyond the surface, you will be rich. Few people ever do that. Not with themselves, not with others, not with anything in the world.

Their shallow view of the world makes their life shallow, and they will go for every glitter, every shiny object. Because they are unwilling to go beyond the top layer, the visible layer.

This correction is about the question: will you believe your eyes? Will you believe the sales pitch? Will you believe the news? Will you believe your mind? Or will you believe that our reality is such, that reality is collective hunch at best. And that we have the power to create our own reality by not stopping at the obvious, but going beyond it.

We, the roughly seven billion people live our lives as if we had access to the reality, and it is what we see. We also think that we see it accurately…

Wrong view. And it hasn’t been working out for us humans…

The reality that we see (what we see what is, that is… mostly we even see it with prejudice!!!) is the 1% of all that is, and even about that 1% we can’t be sure.

How many times did it happen that you understood something one way, only to find out that your point of view was just one of many possible points of view, and your meaning wasn’t what was meant?

I spent a day with someone this week, and the conversation went to his soul correction all the time.

For Soul correction you need you to see your own ego, turn around quickly enough to catch your shadow.

We all need another person to tell us. They can see our shadow side, our back, and they can help us make changes to serve our soul’s correction and thus our soul’s purpose.

Every time, instead of honest curiosity, this person protested, he resisted. After a few hours of what looked and felt to him that I was badgering him and telling him how bad and wrong he was, I realized that he had no intention to live consistently with his soul’s correction, and from that point on we had conversations like two unenlightened people… very mundane, like talking about the weather.

The fact that he didn’t see the value of being shown his shadow, is a Diamond in the rough aspect of his soul correction.

Had he used our time to map out what he needed to correct, he would have bought himself the potential of happiness, prosperity for the rest of his life.

But he didn’t. Why?

This soul correction, Diamond in the Rough is the answer: what we need to correct is beyond our direct observation and therefore hard to catch, especially with an active, “self-protecting” ego.

What you can catch beyond the 1%, matters more than the surface, makes more difference, has more weight in how life feels, how life turns out for you, than the 1%.

The hidden aspects, your hidden agenda and intention, your hidden meaning, your hidden thoughts about you, the world, and the other are, by the way, what we explore in the Playground.

Your job, in this soul correction, is to dig deep. Dig up the skeletons, dig up the hidden hell of your mind. And never get satisfied with what you have done already: I still dig up layers that I didn’t know about, and I’ve been doing it for 30 years!

In life: You are probably gullible, and not discerning. You don’t do your research, you don’t dig.

Your hidden attitude is that everything is about you. Your attitude that you need to be taken care of. Your attitude that it’s enough what you are doing… no need to grow. Your self-importance, your self-protection, your uncaring nature. The secret hatred, or envy, or greed you possess.

Dig it up, look at it, and then transform it to sweet smelling stuff.

Your life, your relationships, your health, your happiness will be the exact reflections of the depth of your thinking, the depth of your consciousness. The deeper you dig, the better life will become.

You, currently, probably stop at the surface, and your job is to go beyond.

If you are willing, you will immediately start seeing results.

The question is: are you willing to get your hands dirty to dig up the diamonds?
