If you don’t get it… If they don’t get it. A movie to the rescue: demonstrating paradigms

I have been talking, talking, and I don’t think I am being gotten.

I make people raise their hands on calls when they got what I said, and I can feel that they are lying, some of them, when they raise their hands.

Why? Because getting it something is not the same as memorizing it.

So here is am, 720 articles and 50 weeks worth of webinars later. And as usual, I am playing freecell. Suddenly images from a movie I saw a few months ago start coming up in my mind. Bubbling up.

almost famous movie The movie is “Almost famous” and all the scenes star the actress of Fargo fame: Frances McDormand.

She is one of my favorite actresses. Why? Because her capacity to not give a hoot at how ridiculous she looks or sounds is so endearing, so empowering to me, I get courage and power for myself to look ridiculous and not care.

In this movie she goes beyond. And this is what this article is about.

I am not going to tell you the movie: I want you to watch it. But I’ll tell one piece: through her character, exasperating as it is, I have a clearer picture, suddenly, or where the people that are not getting it are.

Some of those people are my students. One of them has been with me since 2007, another one since mid-last year.

It drives me crazy that they are not getting it. My ego is bristled, after all I have been working so hard! (Can you hear the waaa-waaa-waaah behind that statement? If you really listen, you may be able to hear the “No matter how hard I try, I can’t…. baaay baaay baaah! lol)

If you are on the path, if you have experienced harmony, awareness, meditation (really), energy healing, the Heaven on Earth, The Energizer, etc. etc. etc. and people in your environment are not getting it, please do yourself a favor and watch that movie.

Frances McDormand in Almost famous It’s on Netflix (DVD only). Why? through the role of the clueless taken to the extreme, Frances McDormand gives us comic relief, when someone is looking at our life, our purpose, our experiences, and doesn’t get it.

Oh, the title of this post. The person that doesn’t get it is in a different paradigm. Everything is visible to them, just differently than to you. They are looking at it from a different paradigm.

Please have compassion: paradigm jumping is a great idea, but doesn’t happen as easily as jumping. For example the paradigm of awareness isn’t the same looking from the mind as looking from consciousness

From the mind: it’s a concept. From consciousness it is peace, grace, joy: heaven on earth.

  1. I am unable to respond in the training section, but this is in response to today’s class on completion.

The completion is in reference to the Second Phase Activation class, and how it did or did not affect me.

This is a difficult thing to answer, meaning, how do I sum up the best course I’ve ever taken in my adult life, in a very short summary? If I was forced to just rate it, I would give it 5 stars, 5 being the highest, without a doubt.

I have had profound changes in several major areas of my life, relationships (big time!), emotional, financial, and definitely expansion as a human being! I find out today during class that I could have done a lot more. Did this come as a surprise? He’ll no!

I had several major life altering things happen the past few months. I kept it to myself because airing all my laundry seemed tiresome. I sailed through all the drama and chaos unscathed. I utilized everything you taught me Sophie, and I was able to create a new, more favorable, reality. I have learned some very valuable lessons from you, and for that I am grateful. I continue today to be an expanding human being because of you.

Iknow you hate stories, but I have to share my last drama. I live about 5 minutes from New Orleans, and last week, once again, we were preparing for a direct hit courtesy of Hurricane Isaac. It happened to be exactly 7 years to the day of Hurricane Katrina. I lost everything in Katrina, and that’s all I will say.

When they lowered the hurricane to a category 1, most people decided to stay. I will make this very brief. I live 2 blocks from my boyfriend, and went back and forth throughout. Neither of us ever lost electricity, he never lost his precious cable, and although Internet was sketchy, it would come in through our phones.

When it was over Thursday morning, and I ventured out, I was in total disbelief at the amount of destruction everywhere! I mean literally everywhere. The neighborhood around his house, no electric, wires down everywhere, animals, trees, debris. His house and yard were fine, electric still on. I went to my condo, hard to get to, I had to go through some flooding, debris, down trees, and I can see huge pieces of the roof gone. There’s an estimate already in the hundreds of thousands for the amount of damage in other units. Mine? Not a thing! Had electric throughout. WTF???

Thank you Sophie, now where’s the link to that next class…
