The rescue me racket… drama drama drama

the rescue me racketI used to have a student who ran a racket… get into situations where he needed to be rescued. He ran the rescue-me racket

The original incident was that he was locked into his father’s car on a hot summer day. He had insisted, vehemently, that he wanted to play with the car. He was three years old. And of course he loved cars.

After about half an hour of doing noises like cars make, he got bored… but the car doors were locked.

He banged on the doors, on the windows, yelled, and only a neighbor woman saw him.

By the time the women of his household came down to rescue him, he passed out. Continue reading “The rescue me racket… drama drama drama”

People Who Are Better At Recognizing Emotions Make More Money, and have a better life

recognizing emotionsThe better you are at recognizing emotions, identifying them accurately, the better you are in life… the less mistakes you make, the more success you can have

Recognizing emotions for what they are, accurately, is an art forgotten by humanity.

Everybody writes about recognizing other people’s emotions, or recognizing your own emotions… but that is talking about the 14th floor in a building that stands on thin air… They write about what they know… because no one knows there is a missing 13th floor, because the science isn’t built for the 13th floor, or not quite. It has begun by a nobody in Hungary… And the science is valid. Read the books.

The 13th floor is the floor of feelings. And the whole world of feelings we have been discouraged to explore.

No one teaches it, because Continue reading “People Who Are Better At Recognizing Emotions Make More Money, and have a better life”

Want to go fast, go alone. Want to go far? go together

I rarely do one-on-one sessions. And unless it is about someone’s health, r business, I don’t do them.

Why? I don’t think they are effective. Not effective for the client. and if I am interested in causing something: it is not effective for me.

Most coaching programs are useless as far as making a difference. Continue reading “Want to go fast, go alone. Want to go far? go together”

How do you model after a successful person? Emulate him.

model after a successful personHow do you model after a successful person? You emulate him. But what can you emulate?

Do you do what they say? Do you do what you see?

They say if you want to become successful, you need to find a mentor and model after him. Emulate him.

I have a very successful teacher who teaches what he does: email marketing.

I am on quite a few people’s mailing list who are also his students.

I watch what they do. I read their emails. And I can see that they model after his email style, they model after his relentless work ethic, some models after his edginess, but none has seen or felt, or taken notice to what degree he cares about his customers. He says he doesn’t, but he does. Deeply. Continue reading “How do you model after a successful person? Emulate him.”

Is ranting gossiping? Is ranting complaining?

rantingComplaining implies expressing dissatisfaction about a situation or behavior. Ranting is all about expressing anger by shouting in frustration. And gossiping is talking about a person who isn’t present. So this article, at least the first part is all three. But it is also a teaching opportunity.

Every Tuesday I am on a group coaching call with one of my coaches.

I don’t like him. I say this upfront so I can watch if I have a prejudice… while I am writing about him.

Anyway, I have once written an article that I can’t now find where I say that even if you copy everything visible about a person who is doing better than you, you won’t be like him, and your results probably won’t be like his. Continue reading “Is ranting gossiping? Is ranting complaining?”

Inner authority? What does it mean really?

outer pressure to inner authorityI define someone who has that, Inner Authority, is this: they don’t need an outside force to entice them or to threaten them with some kind of punishment or doom to do what they have to do to get things done.

So, the year was 1987, and it was the end of an 8-year run of a good mixture where you could see what I am talking about.

In those years I worked as an architect in three countries.

Worked but wasn’t productive. There was no joy there. I wasn’t joyful, even though there were, here and there, interesting projects, but i wasn’t able to enjoy them.

There were as long as year long stretches where I literally suffered because I just didn’t want to do what i had to do, needed to do, wanted to do to survive, things I should have done. I was sluggish, heavy, and totally unmotivated. Continue reading “Inner authority? What does it mean really?”

What made my memory stop working suddenly?

zombie cells memory stop workingFor a change of pace I want to talk about something different for today. I want to share two experiments, one is about cancer, the second is about what made my memory stop working unexpectedly.

First: my inquiry into cancer, my ‘conversation’ with Source. And after that we’ll look why my intelligence, my memory, has dropped dramatically in the past two days…

OK, before i start: all of my experiments are unintentional. I just do what i do, following some idea… and bang… I need to pay attention… That is what starts an experiment… Life says: pay attention. Continue reading “What made my memory stop working suddenly?”
