This is the way the cookie crumbles… Really

This is the way the cookie crumbles: your life, the quality of your life depends on you.

I’ve read somewhere that people are only curious about something they already know. Not ‘know about’ but actually know. Had experience with.

Knowing about is idle curiosity: useless.

  • You don’t know the river until you wade into it.
  • You don’t know a person unless you wade in and deal with him.
  • And you don’t know a poem until you try to say it out loud.

I don’t believe in the Law of Attraction.

If I could stand on the rooftop and yell it to every person who visits my site, I would have a mailing list that has eliminated the weak, the slothful, the unable to think for themselves crowd.

So, what is the ‘famous’ law of attraction myth and what are the common characteristics of the people who believe in it?

In the New Thought philosophy, the law of attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. The teaching is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from ‘pure energy’, and that through the process of ‘like energy attracting like energy’ a person can improve their own health, wealth and personal relationships.

The concept of law of attraction received criticism in skeptical essays, such as Robert Todd Carroll’s The Skeptic’s Dictionary.

Law of attraction is an example of a pseudoscience.

Rooted in reality, un-self-concerned, learning as you go

Some of the most important things I say in my Friday Podcast.

It’s not planned. And it is not being stingy. It is because until I see it I can’t see it.

What is special about that every Friday call is that the person I do it with doesn’t want to be coached. So I coach through her all the people who subscribe to the podcast.

Some of them don’t want to be coached either. But the ones that do get a great deal. Continue reading “Rooted in reality, un-self-concerned, learning as you go”

Method to my madness: how I get you there Part 2

In my last article spoke of the methodology of poking the box. Poking the box so what I don’t know that I don’t know can pop out and make itself known.

It only works when I NEED to know why something doesn’t work and how it could. Idle curiosity doesn’t activate it.

Having a very sick client who can’t let go of her hero act has been one thing that created a real need. An unless. Do or die. Also urgent. That unless I can find out how to dislodge her whole ‘personal reality’ that I didn’t know how to do I was going to have a dead client at hand. The method in my madness… you need to know. Part 1

I discovered yesterday on my weekly podcast with Bonnie that unless a client knows what is the method behind what I do, they consider me rude, uncaring, untrustworthy, and hurtful.

Ugh.

So I am putting it now out there, in an organized fashion: my methodology.

Two parts, this is part one. Continue reading “The method in my madness… you need to know. Part 1”

Why the United States is one of the unhealthiest countries

I have always wondered why the United States of America is one of the unhealthiest countries.

And today I got my answer:

In America it is not hip to be sick or ill.

It is only hip to continue doing what you have been doing, work, being a hero, and still expect to get well.

Why? Because you know better? You have no idea!

What do you think heals you? Medication? Healing energy? Continue reading “Why the United States is one of the unhealthiest countries”

Why am I harping on the shoulds… is there any more to see?

Today I got to go deeper in the shoulds.

I actually saw that every single thing that causes you, causes Man to be miserable, is a should in one form or another.

What lead me on is this:

I woke up, as planned, at 3 am.

But I didn’t immediately get up. I wanted to measure if my healing client has maintained the healing I worked so hard last night on.

She didn’t. So I grieved a little… and then fell asleep. Next time I woke up it was 4:30. I heard in my head: I should have gotten up when I woke up. Continue reading “Why am I harping on the shoulds… is there any more to see?”

Sometimes you need a do or die situation to open your mind

I am on a ‘cooking Hungarian’ spell…

So yesterday I looked up how others make spinach in Hungary.

To my utter surprise and maybe mortification, more than half of the recipes put bread into the dish.

That’s not how I know it! I can’t eat bread!

Both of those are hidden ‘shoulds’…

So today I made the dish exactly like they say. Continue reading “Sometimes you need a do or die situation to open your mind”

What you try to control controls you. What you resist…

Your life is decided at around age three. Until that point you were totally unconscious. Your first event when some consciousness is present happens in an incident.

One of my clients ran a race then. I assume it was kindergarten. She won. She told her father. And instead of getting what she expected she got something else: you could have run faster, his father said… unaware of the how his words would be understood.

She heard ‘I don’t measure up’ to some yardstick in the sky. And she decided that the solution was to pretend that she is tryingContinue reading “What you try to control controls you. What you resist…”

When you are sick, your only job is to be sick

When you are sick, your only job is to be sick. NOT to heal yourself, but to be sick. Not to pretend to work, pretend to be well.

When you are sick, be sick.

What happens when you are trying to heal?

Then you resist reality… you replace reality with a should-be-reality.

Can your body do its job of healing you if and when you do that? No. It can’t. Continue reading “When you are sick, your only job is to be sick”
