Awe… One path to feeling your Self you may want to take

Awe… One path to feeling your Self you may want to take

One of the capacities you want to cultivate is the capacity of being in awe. Awestruck, awe-inspired.

Awe, the state, is when the spirit is surprised and moved. Inspired. Continue reading “Awe… One path to feeling your Self you may want to take”

Are you the gift, or are you the gift giver?

Are you the gift, or are you the gift giver? Do ‘they’ feel they need to give you a gift?

I was looking at Christmas this morning and I saw something that I had never seen before.

Your relationships can be described in terms of gift giving and gift receiving.

For some people, in your life, you may be a gift. You and your life. And for others, you substitute that by giving them gifts at the predetermined gift-giving time… and buy another year so that you don’t have to be a gift. Continue reading “Are you the gift, or are you the gift giver?”

The physics of happiness… a happy life… The light bulb?!

The article about being nice, and smiling gurus brought me a lot of email responses… some disagreeing violently.

A few years ago I read a story about the Buddha…

In that story someone came to the bodhi tree where Buddha was teaching his disciples, and insulted the Buddha. His disciples were stunned to watch that the Buddha did not show any reaction. When the man left, his disciples told the Buddha how amazing it was that he didn’t get upset.

The Buddha (vibration around 400) said (this is the important thing, pay attention!): I got upset, I got angry, but I let it go so fast that you didn’t catch it.

Reading that changed my life. Dramatically.

Love: are gurus loving? Did the Buddha really smile?

Is what they say about love and high vibration true? Or is love the way its represented is huey? As in B.S…

The following email exchange happened today:

What do a light bulb and transformation have in common?

What do a light bulb and transformation, raising your vibration, and gurudom have in common?

What was the genius of Edison? Ask 100 people and none will have the answer. They will simply say: he invented the light bulb. Or they will say: he tried unsuccessfully 1000 times, and never gave up. Then you ask: why did he have to do 1,000 unsuccessful experiments to get to the solution that worked? At best people say: because the filament always burned out… but how he solved it, 100 out of 100 people you asked, won’t have the answer. What is beyond the ground bound existence of humanity?

I have been puzzled by the fact that people are literally unable to think up a context that would instantly transform their reality.

As I have said before: context is decisive.

That simply means that the context, the background alters how the foreground is perceived. The foreground doesn’t change, or not necessarily, but the mood, the attitude, the feeling, the motivation changes.

The how changes, sometimes dramatically.

My favorite context is mastery.

Mastery is just a word… So let’s elaborate on that. Continue reading “What is beyond the ground bound existence of humanity?”

Intention, responsibility: how do you get off the hook?

One of the hallmarks of a person who is not willing to learn is bringing unrelated questions or remarks to the conversation.

I just listened to an hour long presentation about a person who is very prolific.

Prolific means that they have a high useful output.

A prolific author writes more books than a garden variety author.

I am considered prolific because of the number of articles, the number of courses I create as a matter of course.

To be prolific your number one requirement is to have Continue reading “Intention, responsibility: how do you get off the hook?”

Your puddle-like inner world vs a high achieving rapid

The more of the puddle you try to force into the eventual rapid the more pain of loss you’ll experience.

Unavoidable. So instead of taking away useless, unproductive, wasteful activities, you add more… More puddle.

Don’t forget that a puddle has no restriction… so seemingly everything can fit in.

Your life will not change to the better if… Continue reading “Your puddle-like inner world vs a high achieving rapid”

A symbol of restriction is a chimney. And Forrest Gump

The best symbol of restriction is the chimney. And Forrest Gump

They are, I say, the symbol for growth… Only one way… up.

There are nations like a lake, a stream, a river, a puddle, and nations like a chimney. Most nations devolve into a puddle-like environment for the individual. No growth inspired, no growth encouraged, no growth praised.

So if life, what is ‘normal’, the expectations don’t restrict your activities, behaviors, then how can you reach excellence? Continue reading “A symbol of restriction is a chimney. And Forrest Gump”

What makes Keanu Reeves someone you’d want to learn from?

One of the biggest difficulties in raising your vibration, raising your consciousness, is your vocabulary. Connecting it to your life.

Unless you know what being, how, who words really really really mean, your vibration cannot rise. Your vocabulary makes you not just live in the world, but be OF THE WORLD… i.e. have the consciousness, awareness, attitude and vibration of the world… which is, at this point, has hit an all time low.

So I continue writing about your one thing…

…the one thing that can 10x your results and make everything else easier or not necessary.
