Historical novels, reading about famous people: is that a good idea?

the biography of Steve JobsI know a lot of people who love to read historical novels, biographies, etc. When I look at them I get that they live their lives vicariously through those novels, not in reality. All these people have boring, ordinary lives.

For the past 4-5 months, I have been reading about the Mongols, the 13-14th century innovators of the world, without whom the world would look very very different.

The founder, the father of the Mongol Empire was Genghis Khan.

Now, why am I sharing this?

Because the only reason to read historical fiction, or biographies of famous people is to get a glimpse of what caused them to become more, bigger, or special.

We are all born ordinary. Then we either stay ordinary or choose a path that leads to exceptional, whether it is in the direction of bad or good. 1

In every life, there is at least one turning point, one moment of choice when one can choose a direction towards extraordinary…

Spirituality and the quality of your life? Part 1

holographic-universe-mainMy method of growing myself, my method of growing what can be known for humans, is running conquering-new-territories campaigns into the unknown.

It is about leading scouting and conquering military campaigns into the unknown and unknowable, and I do it on my podcast calls… the one I have been having for 8 years now. Every week, for 15 years now.

Some calls are huge campaigns, today’s was like that, and most calls are maintenance, cleaning up, clarifying… All needed for a coherent view.

In today’s call, the conversation was about the question: what does spirituality have to do with the quality of your life??

spirituality and machines… The Computer Story

Yesterday my computer started to misbehave.

It shut down without an error message, without the dreaded blue screen.

I went online and researched the potential causes for it.

I have three computers, but this is my newest, and the one I do webinars on, the one I coach on skype, and I have a call already paid for this afternoon… so it was important to make the computer work.

I started with the hardware, the physical parts of the computer, and no matter what part I changed or disconnected, the error, the computer shutting down, persisted.

I was afraid, I was anxious.

Expectation is the mother of Disappointment

expectation is the mother of disappointmentOne of the questions I hear on the Talk-to-Me calls or in emails is how to “make it better” or what is good, etc.

It’s all a comparison, past based, from the mind.

One thing, disappointment 1 can’t be made better. It’s like pregnant: it is either a yes or a no.

Now, I assume that we all get disappointed, more or less, depending on us.

disappointment-2Disappointment is the shadow side of expectation.

Expectation, of course, is quite automatic, just like having an agenda is automatic… actually they are just a different word for the same thing.

I haven’t been able to consciously not expect a certain result… on the other hand, for the most part I expect nothing… or expect the worst.

This is another Dark Side suggestion: expect the best and then you’ll get the best… What a bunch of huey! The whole positive thinking movement is a Dark Side suggestion, and has created more misery than even religion, which is saying a lot.

Expecting the best won’t get you the best… Exactly the opposite is true.

Spiritual practice: Recognizing yourself in another, considering the other a mirror

mirror-effectThis is probably the most politically incorrect post I have ever written… I could not find a picture to illustrate it on the whole world wide web.

Why is it politically incorrect? Because the current Dark Side suggestion is that you are perfect the way you are, and your job is to forgive yourself any faults, if you even have any, and keep looking to the outside where other people are worse than you…. Dark Side suggestions are designed to keep you miserable and powerless till you die… 1

But the picture and quote I found is true, even if no one understands it. Oh well…

The other day I watched this British comedian mock Robert Pattinson’s acting. I don’t know the actor he was talking about, but I recognized myself having, somewhat the same relationship with some gurus that, in my view, don’t deserve the adulation and the millions of dollars they make, while I “should”.

How does an empath coach you differently?

Why you should have an empath re-evaluate the stuff you learn… the stuff others teach?

The obvious reason is because I can reliably muscletest if something is true or not.

But the less obvious reason is more important:

I can actually feel what happens inside a human being when something shifts. Continue reading “How does an empath coach you differently?”

Consciousness Engineering or how to tweak your self and your mind to change your life

ce-logo-largeMindValley Academy has 100 teachers, and is owned by Vishen Lakhiani.

Their newest program is Consciousness Engineering, and this is a class I am signing up for, myself. Is it because I am sure it will help everyone? It could. Honestly, no matter where you are on the vibrational scale, this class can help you, if you are willing.

Vishen Lakhiani’s vibration is 200. He is intense, he is driven, he is live wire. But he knows a thing or two about consciousness tweaks, and I am not ashamed to learn from him, I am sure he can teach me a thing or two.

Angry? Frustrated? Anxious? Ask: Does this benefit me?

anxiety-and-careerYou get angry, you get frustrated, you get anxious, you get jealous… you name it, the emotions pop up and you have nothing to do about them.

But… and this is a BIG but: A normal emotion comes and goes, like clouds on a windy day. Com and go… sunny, cloudy, sunny, cloudy.

Emotions and feelings are energies, and energy’s nature is to move. If they don’t, you have the static electricity thing going: and because energy MUST move, it will explode… like lightning.

You just have to hold onto the emotion by resisting it.

After all most emotions don’t feel good. I even dare say: held-onto emotions don’t feel good… even if it is happiness you are holding onto.

It’s like laughter: it is great. It is a great release. It is invigorating.
