Part One: Knowing yourself is key to being able to change
We all think that we know ourselves… and then when it turns out to be wrong, we are surprised, but unphased in our certainty that we know ourselves.
Why is it nearly impossible to you to know yourself?
Because self-reflection is an intangible, spiritual capacity that can only open up if and when you look at your effect, your reflection, your feedback from the world around you. Continue reading “Why You Keep Signing Your Future Self Up for Stuff You Don’t Actually Want to Do”
I field a lot of emails in a day. And some of those emails are goldmines, because they reveal the wrong ideas that people entertain, the wrong premises on which they build their actions.
In this article I will go deep, root level, and I will also go higher… because wrong premises can infect you on all levels.
Here is the latest:
Q: Can I listen to the Energizer Audio through headsets for 10 minutes a day to raise my cell hydration?

Confession time: I have a very small window where I experience being physically well. Or emotionally well. I am not very sturdy.
I have a tiny tolerance to heat, a small tolerance to cold, a small tolerance to running on empty.
Especially painful and unsettling for me is running on empty… while you, while most people spend their daily energy allotment on trivial things, and then run on fumes all day.
For me, that is unbearable, intolerable, hell. Continue reading “MVP… Life’s most valuable player? Minimum viable product? What is the connection?”
It’s Sunday. I hung up my Sunday Rants call 90 minutes ago. I spent these 90 minutes watching marketing sales videos… as I would like to get better at marketing.
And it suddenly hit me… It hit me why no course, no program, no video course, audio course or group coaching can get much result, my program or others’.
I remember a few years ago when famed marketers, like Frank Kern, approached Tony Robbins to get some coaching on how to make people actually achieve the results they promised them in their sales letters. The meager results were bothering them. No matter how good, how detailed the course was, how much handholding they gave, only a fragment of the participants produced results. Many people walk around with an immense amount of knowledge. Yet, in their professional life, they jump from one thing to the other. They’re directionless because they zigzag. They go to this direction and then they go to that direction and they go in the third direction and then they return to the first one, and on and on it goes.
That’s how my life looked for years after I finished publishing the magazine and this is how my friend’s life looks.
He’s my chiropractor friend. He has a business, he’s a chiropractor. He has been a chiropractor for 23 years. He knows a lot about how to adjust people. He has added energy work and Ayurveda but his heart isn’t into it.
So he publishes a newsletter, he does self-improvement work, he volunteers, he follows a guru, he goes to India, he goes to ski, he does all kinds of things. He even recorded an audio-book for me, but after all this doing, you can see, that he has no direction, he has no path.
He has a lot of knowledge, a lot of possibilities, but no direction, no ‘Guidance from The Soul.’ Just restlessness, and a sense that it’s all fun, and it’s all good, but it isn’t going anywhere.
Here is this little story that may shed some light to what’s missing for him, and what may be missing for you.

Context, Mindset, Backdrop… why should you care?
This is going to be a mind-bender, and at the end of it you’ll come up a lot smarter, and with a lot more power over your life… interested?
It is all about mindset! Context is decisive… and what the heck is a backdrop?
Let’s start with backdrop. Why? Because it’s the easiest to see what’s going on.
I say that the backdrop is more important than what happens in the foreground.
- Someone says something to you and you are hurt.
- Your boss assigns someone else to an important assignment.
- Your experiment at making money with your first product is a flop.
- You continually have trouble and emergency in your life.
The above statements are the foreground.
Depending on your mental attitude (mindset) you say it’s bad, or it’s good, or you have no opinion.
So far so good… are you still with me? Good. Continue reading “Context, Mindset, Backdrop… why should you care?”
Most of us are sure we can. We make decisions based on what we see, and our decisions and actions take us to live the life we live.
Most of us live a life of quiet desperation. It was true at the turn of the last century, and it is true now.
There was a discipline and coaching paradigm I studied and used about 9 years ago. It is based on axiology, the Nobel Prize nominated work of Robert Hartman.
Axiology is the study of value or quality. It is the science that deals with what is good and what is not. Beyond and independent of subjective judgment.
The test (Value Profile) we ran in axiology had 4 parameters by which we could map out the potential for success of any individual.
One of them relates to the title. The parameter is called “clarity”.
