Dear Sophie: your tone is changing. It is more demanding, and I wonder what's going on... you are wielding a stronger demand on the students... did something change?
Answer: Let me answer with a story:
A Pig and a Chicken are walking down the road. The Chicken says, "Hey Pig, I was thinking we should open a restaurant!" The Pig replies, "Hm, maybe, what would we call it?" The Chicken responds, "How about 'ham-n-eggs'?"
The Pig thinks for a moment and says, "No thanks. I'd be committed, but you'd only be involved!"
Sometimes, the story is presented as a riddle:
Question: In a bacon-and-egg breakfast, what's the difference between the Chicken and the Pig?
Answer: The Chicken is involved, but the Pig is committed!
I am republishing this article, because of the new insights... that everything that is not need based is the not-you, the society created "IT", the not self, and because it is very difficult to explain... I need these articles to be together... Eventually I'll find the right words that communicate to more people.
Needs are feelings. They run you, from the inside. Need is a feeling... and it can be on many levels.
Animals have needs. Human have the same needs, and more.
Depending on how many needs you have, you are on different evolutionary levels of humanity.
In this article we'll need with the two needs where most get stuck: the needs of the self. These are non-physical needs, resulting in non-physical pain if not met, and pleasure if they are met.
So let's begin.
I have always wondered why it is that only people who commit to something and then work on it are ever happy.
Suddenly I am noticing the many articles that try to access your emotions, the advertising, the movies, all to keep you stuck on the 15th floor of your being. 1
Your emotions are moldable, like clay, and there is nothing that you can do about it... on that level. Because your emotions is the 15th floor, it is entirely controlled from the 13th (feelings) and the 14th floor (words).
Every day works best if and when you have a context set in the first hour of the day. 1
For most of you this is the same old, same old, because you put your attention to everything the same old way. I am not saying you should DO something different every morning, that is not what I am saying.
Doing different will not set the context, doing different will not change your beingness, doing different will not change what is the backdrop that all of life, everything that happens during that day, will happen.
Context, backdrop are beingness phenomena... They are like hunger.
Often when people use my Water Energizer® to energize their water, or change their diet to what matches their body better, they get smarter, they get more astute.
When you are in survival, because you are not well, you retreat to the mind... the stupidest part of you, that isn't even looking before it speaks. When you try to be astute from the mind, or be astute from the intellect, you aren't.
You can only be astute from intelligence, from actually looking. Intelligence is a Right Brain phenomenon: not word-based, not logic-based, not based on what you know. It is based on what you see, what consciousness sees, without any filters.
Trying to be astute from the mind or the intellect, both left-brain phenomenon, word based, stored pictures based, you aren't astute. You can't. You are a smart Alec or a dumb Alec... neither intelligent, nor astute.
We could also say: she used thinking. Which says one more thing about intelligence: intelligence is not present when there is thinking. Thinking is mind and intellect. Intelligence is seeing. Intelligence is getting it. Not thinking.
Churches, communities, etc. ask you to contribute. And you comply: you volunteer, you give away your old winter coat, you give food, or money.
But as in everything, context is decisive.
What's the context in their request? That you support the less fortunate. There is morality: you can afford and therefore you should, and there is shaming... you don't eat your food and little kids starve in Africa, or "be generous and earn the Kingdom of Heaven" b.s.
All of these make you a wretch. And not just you, anyone. Why? Because context is decisive.
