20 years ago I had my first entrepreneur value profile done.
It was some 30 pages long... too much English. But somewhere it said something like: You don't work well THROUGH others...
A year or two worth of training later I got my certification to become a value profile consultant. Then I learned to see all that the 30 page said in English (meaning lots of words) at a glance on a grid.
My starting point measurements report is a lot like that grid. It is more meant for the coach/consultant to know how to guide you, than for you to enjoy reading to indulge your delusional self. Your delusional self loves the many words... I have watched people get all excited about the book "The Life You Were Meant to Live"... because they picked out the words they liked... No growth.
The more someone is determined to remain the same, the more they like that book...
In this article I'll teach you something that has the potential to turn you into a happy, joyful person. No kidding.
Also, it can serve as the bridge between human and human being...
From that you can guess: the distinctions in this article are advanced.
At present, if you are a "normal" human, you are judging yourself and others. You are miserable, wretched, prone to get happy, get sad, get depressed at the drop of a hat.
I assert that you are judgmental, because distinctions are missing, and there is nothing wrong with you. Or them...
You are judgmental. You can't help it. You may try to control yourself, suppress it, but it isn't going anywhere. It is there. It's vicious. You judge yourself as much as you judge others. This is how you learned to be by modeling your parents, your teachers, your bosses, your church, your politicians.
Know thyself is what is one of the 147 maxims (a short, pithy statement expressing a general truth or rule of conduct. Not the same as a principle, but there are many overlaps... Most of these maxims are virtues. My favorites are "Know what you have learned" and "Be/Know yourself", because they are maybe the most important. Do yourself a favor, and read them, and ponder.) inscribed in Delphi... 1
In fact, it is a principle.
A principle is something to live by, something to get guidance from.
When we talk about principle driven life, any of those 147, and countless other principles will do your life justice.
When I look at people, when I observe them, their lives have no rhyme, no purpose...
A lot of why's are answered here... why you can't get well, why you are not happy, etc.
People are the highest value in the universe. Why? Because they are able to be all levels of values, the thinking mind (systemic), the extrinsic (create tools, cook food, provide pleasure), and the intrinsic.
You live, predominantly on one level, and value what is on that level most.
Here is an article that has truth in it, but not the whole truth. The article is a typical psychological take on a human condition... and is incomplete.
Here is an example of what a 7% truth value is, and what is missing to make it acceptable... and no, a 7% truth value is not acceptable.
I am going to attempt to add some of my own discoveries... to bring it up to a higher, hopefully much higher level of truth value...
First: read the article. I felt horrible reading it, because it made me feel bad about myself. Not many people consider me good company... so I definitely don't qualify to being the type of person everyone wants to know.
At the same time my fixed mindset is only 7%... so what's going on?
Juiced vs. Driven (Juiced here means: turned on, excited, alive)
The most difficult attitude to take on or even comprehend is "desire for the sake of sharing". The opposite of that is "desire for the self alone".
Why is it so hard? Because... I actually don't know...
I'll kick it around in this article, and let's say if I can say anything that resonates. With you.
Why wouldn't? Well, it hasn't. Not with you, and not with others.
If you are new to my articles: my self-assigned job is to ferret out, test out, experiment out what would take humans back to the evolutionary path they abandoned about 30 thousand years ago. They went deep into the current level of "homo sapiens" you could also call: the man who lives in the cave of their mind.
The alternative was to become human being, but that hasn't happened, and cannot happen through the mind.
