You have customers. Many. You have “vendor-customer” relationship with them.
It takes intellectual intelligence (the one the IQ tests test) to see this. It has nothing to do with being stingy, or emotionally unevolved.
So let’s have this conversation now to cause a sudden rise in your intelligence, and potentially a sudden rise in your income, your popularity, your street value.
The story behind this knowledge comes from 1991-1992.
I was a student in Werner Erhard and Associates in 1991, when Werner appeared on 60 minutes and consequently had to leave the country, his company, and go into exile.
He sold the company to its employees, and the company faltered.

If we didn’t have words, we would have no emotions. All emotions come from words… some are yours, some are not…
The Amish Horse Training Method is to be able to hear all the words that create emotions… and hear them in a way, that gives you a choice to honor them or not, depending of the source of the words, the relevance of the words…
The Amish Horse Training Method returns you to the driving seat of your life…
Not surprisingly, for most students the first step towards mastery is mastering their attention. Unless you can control your attention, you are a putz… and are controlled by someone or something, but not you. And for you to be you, you need to call the shot.
The luckier students admit that they have a difficult time sticking with a book… because they can’t pay attention to it, they can’t understand, or they can’t remember what they read. Or the do a narrative, argue with the book, agree, disagree… but have no idea what they actually read. They remember the arguing. This article is from 2013… but it seems that a lot of people have influenza, especially in Europe, and therefore I am re-publishing this article…
The last few days have been extraordinary. Not good, not very bad, simply not my ordinary days.
I have had a heart-to-heart with my ego that didn’t want to allow me to grow business-wise. It was very interesting… you should watch the replay if you don’t know what I am talking about.
I have had a lot done, mostly stuff that was stressful, scary, new, and there was a lot of emotions around it.
The energy attacks resumed last Thursday, so I experience frequent debilitating pain.
I am tired. My eyes are hurting, my body is hurting, but the mind screams: “Soldier on…”

The most important thing I never learned in Landmark… that allowed me to grow
In 1967 I applied to participate in a 6-day on site advanced program in Landmark… it was still called Werner Erhard and Associates at the time.
I was denied. The staff member for admittance told me: Until you learn the difference between thinking and doing, you can’t do the course.

Everything you know is in the way of you being able to act powerfully
That wasn’t the exact expression… I said: “Everything you know is in the way of being creative…”
I said this to the first person I coached in the United States. It was 1986, and she volunteered to be my ride to and from Landmark…
She worked as a sales person in her parents’ Janitorial supply company, selling toilet paper and such. She had an aspiration to become an artist.
Her tiny bedroom was darkened by the hundreds of figurines on the shelves. Every one of them, in its own way, a thought frozen, and she had not a creative thought, not a thought of her own.
She was about 20, somewhat pudgy, long hair with a bow in it. I was 39, typical immigrant, still wearing the style and style sense from the country I came from.

The Landmark Education shortcut that doesn’t work:
“the possibility I declare for myself and my life”
“the possibility I invent for myself and my life” you are taught in Landmark Education. Declaration is a verbal way to speak something into being… being… not feeling, not action, but being. But it doesn’t work, unfortunately. Why? Let’s find out…
The problem with Landmark Education
Landmark Education is the watered down brainchild of Werner Erhard.
I started participating when Werner was still part of it. He said things it’s taken me 30 years to get, but he said it. He himself was struggling with them.
Werner had 20 being capacities, which means that most of what he ever said came from thinking. Yet, 20 capacities of being is rich. In comparison, a good Landmark Forum Leader has 10 being capacities.
Joe DiMaggio has 23, Nancy Zapolski has 30 being capacities. David Cunningham: 10.

I am very lucky: the questions my students send me have caused me to have a deeper understanding for my own work.
These students are often seeking new insights in their pressing circumstances from me. Lately it is all about making a decision to stay or leave, to let go or to fight.
It is a huge responsibility to talk to people who are looking for answers.
